This rare passito wine is produced from Malvasia and Corinto Nero grapes cultivated on the volcanic ground of the island of Salina. The grapes are sun dried on reed matting before being made into wine. It is then fermented and matured in small oak barrels.
Serve at 12° – 14° C as an aperitif. As a dessert or meditation wine, serve at 16° – 18° C.
Interesting served with soft-textured blue-veined cheeses and foie gras. Recommended with pastries, chocolate desserts and ice creams. Excellent meditation wine.
